Meet Dr. Taylor Godnick

An Early Introduction to Chiropractic Care

Dr. TaylorWhen she was just a week old, Dr. Godnick’s parents were told that she had colic, and there was nothing the medical doctors could do. However, her godfather, a chiropractor, had a few tricks up his sleeve. “After my first adjustment I ‘slept like a baby,’ and my mom took me back every other week for a ‘tune-up.'”

Growing up, Dr. Godnick did gymnastics, cheerleading, wrestling, wakeboarding, and dirt bike riding, which were rough on her body, but with chiropractic care, she was never down for long.

At 15, Dr. Godnick broke her back and had two subsequent back surgeries, one to correct the fracture that healed incorrectly and another to partially correct her scoliosis (62º curve) so she could return to sports. “My chiropractor and love for the gym have allowed me to return to sports after surgeries and become a collegiate athlete as well.”

Getting on the Chiropractic Path

After earning a Bachelor of Health Science at California Baptist University in 2016, Dr. Godnick became a certified nursing assistant and spent three years working in a nursing facility in the rehab unit. She cared for patients who had had back surgeries, strokes, hip replacements, Alzheimer’s and more.

Dr. Godnick later transitioned to the hospital setting, where she worked in the ER, mother-baby unit (postpartum), telemetry unit (heart surgery and monitoring), and PCU (post-ICU).

After three years in the hospital setting and almost 10 years working in modern medicine, I realized that holistic healing was where I truly saw myself serving my community.”

Education & Certifications

In addition to her bachelor’s, Dr. Godnick earned her Doctor of Chiropractic from Southern California University in 2023. She is also certified in the Webster Technique.

Dr. Godnick also trained under a scoliosis-specializing chiropractor for three years, learning a variety of techniques to help with scoliosis. Moreover, she’s attended seminars and has been trained in Syntropy Adjusting Techniques, which allow her to adjust people of varying sizes and abilities.

Finding Fulfillment Helping Others

For Dr. Godnick, seeing people light up and seeing their outlook on life change is the most rewarding part of being a chiropractor. “Many people have been told for years that modern medicine can solve their problems while they just put a bandage on or lull their symptoms. With our subtle movement and education about how our nervous system works, patients realize that they can truly heal themselves.”

In Her Spare Time

Outside the practice, Dr. Godnick loves adventure! She enjoys going to the lake, hiking, playing with/training her Husky and lifting at the gym.
